DEAR FUTURE Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿ÚDENT,

My name is Stephanie Gauvin, and I am originally from Dieppe, N.B. I graduated from St. Thomas University, Class of 2022, with honours in Economics and a double minor in Anthropology and Spanish.

After Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú, I completed a Master of Science in Public Policy at the University of Bristol and currently work for Hardisty & Jones in Bristol, UK, a local economic development consultancy.

I chose to study at Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú because I wanted the flexibility to explore my interests. Without that flexibility, I wouldn’t have discovered my passion for economics.

Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú prepared me for my future by:

• Helping me develop rigorous academic and analytical skills
• Helping me develop critical thinking skills
• Encouraging me to be inquisitive

With French being my first language, starting at Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú was a big adjustment. Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú services like the Writing Centre helped me strengthen my skills, which enabled me to excel in my academic career both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

I’m proud to be a Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú alumna. The quality of education I received enabled me to develop the academic tools required to further my studies and advance in my career.
